New York

There are so many hotels to stay at in New York, so how do you choose which one? Well, it all depends on your itinerary. For this trip, we chose Citizen M on Bowery because it’s right by the subway stations, walking distance to Chinatown, Little Italy, and SOHO. We stayed mostly in that area and it is pretty close to the Brooklyn Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge.

Citizen M has so many locations around the world, if you haven’t heard of it before, it has a modern and artistic vibe/decor. I stayed in Citizen M (4 star hotel) on Bowery St. (they have 2 locations) in NYC August of 2020. The staff was super helpful and kind! There’s a cafe/study room that is open to the public so don’t be too surprised to why it might be packed! I believe every room has a view, but make sure to get a city view, it’s a gorgeous view to wake up to especially if you wake up early enough for the sunrise!

The rooms comes with black out curtains, control with mood lights, TV, and a fridge. Because it is New York, expect the rooms to be super small… once you walk in, there’s a side closet for you to hang your clothes, next to it is the shower/bathroom (not much privacy) and sink across from it and a king size bed. There’s not much room to change or bring your friends to hang out. The max typically per room is 2.

What I love about this Citizen M is the CloudM Rooftop bar. You may be tired from all the walking in New York, but still want a nice cocktail at the end of the day. You can literally just go up to the rooftop bar at your hotel and relax with a view. Make sure to snag a reservation so you can get good seats! OR you can also hang out inside which has a gorgeous interior and super cozy.
